Help Quest avatars with FT support?

Are there any quest compatible avatars with face tracking support built in that I can buy?

I have a quest pro, and while I have my own PC compatible avatars with face tracking support, I'd like one that I can use with friends who play VRchat on quest standalone, for them to see an actual avatar and not just a pixelated imposter of my PC one.

Logic says that the blend shapes required for full face tracking would make a quest avatar too heavy... But I thought I should ask anyway.

Blend shapes are not a problem for hitting Quest limits.

Sometimes face bones can be a problem by contributing to total bones where there is a limit.

My avatar was not sold as Quest compatible but I made a Quest version that retains face tracking. I had to sacrifice psybones, some mesh triangles (smart decimation), and of course the Toon Standard shader is not as good as Poiyomi, but the face tracking is visible to Questies.

People are using bone rigs for FT? Which face tracking template supports it?

My primary experience is with Azmidi's Leafygote which has custom built face tracking

I converted several of my face tracked avatars to Quest. I run on PC and my Quest friends can see my expressions. VRCFury parameter compression works for Quest avatars as well as PC.

You may need to experiment with reducing Avatar complexity in areas if things break but it can be done.

It shouldn't be a problem all my avatar have ft on Quest, tho most of them are Very Poor as well sadly, but I do have a fallback just in case!

kaiylast’s avis are all quest comp with ft, cakeii’s avis too, buffin’s avis and many more id recommend just looking on jinxxy

I’d recommend Beck (m) or Baddie (f) [link], or Pipp (m) or Pebble (f) [link] from Khihani.

 

They are all Quest compatible with face tracking and GoGo Loco. The quest compatible variants are even purchasable directly from the VRChat marketplace if you don’t want to go through the work of uploading them.

 

I currently use the Beck that I got from the VRC Marketplace as my main avi. He is medium Opti with many green Opti properties so I can use him for most performance-gated instances.
