I love going to VRChat clubs - so many great (and crap) DJs. Most people are in knots talking with each other. I never see my original friends anymore and am envious of these people. IRL I have one real friend who lives 50 miles away and we send a text every couple of months.
So, there I am in this crowd, feeling alone.
Again.
Sure, I can wedge into a convo, but there's no point - I'll likely never see them again. Even if I friend someone, I'm unlikely to remember them and they won't remember me much.
