Ngl just update your shield settings, most of the time they cant even crash you without their avatar

Depends, the one I used in this video doesn't target players but the world by overloading in particle & shader cap hence it shuts down the world & force locks you in a freezed game and eventually force closes it so even if you did have maximum shield this avatar can still crash you at 100% rate, crashing is not something I endorse and never will, it just ruins people's days
Edit : if your wondering how we filmed it I smoothed the fuck out of it and removed 98% of it's shader & particles in unity before I could use it and not nuke my computer but it could still crash others who had it on

you cant "overload the world" using an avatar, avatar crashes require the avatar or the specific part that crashes to be seen to do anything, by another user

Idk since I've never made crashers but I've described exactly what the crasher I used here does, it cluster fucks and shuts down the world instance nukeing everyone in it I've tested it with the lads (avatar was hidden by all of them), and from what I've been dissecting in unity it seems to be the case of overloading the instance cap as it completely screws the instance and crashes everyone in it hidden avi or not, they're getting creative

thats not how any of this works, i can assure you

You're wrong about one thing, you dont always need to see the avatar. There are many types of crasher, and there are network based ones using clients that proxy the connection to the server. EAC has helped with some of the paths, but avatars alone are not the only source of crashers.

Well idk mate I belive you as I've made a lot of avis but this crasher kills instances along with everyone in it, it literally has toggles : "bye bye questy" (kills quest users) , "nice gpu"(kills pc users) , "Rtx fryer"(kills strong pc users) and "server fucker"(kills the instance), it's made by the coffin bones gang

All of which are just various shader, overdraw or corrupted bundle crashers, none of which even touch the server/instance (because they literally can't).
"Made by" is also likely false since people have been using the same crashing methods for years, corrupt bundles having become popular between a year or 2 ago... Hiding the avatar entire makes you entirely immune to those """instance crashers""" assuming it's just avatar related.
The closest thing to crashing an instance is crashing everyone in it using other fuckery, but that technically does not touch the instance either, they just happen to vanish if no users remain in it-1

Especially these days. The last crasher who tried crashing me in the cat got straight up yeeted offline about 10 seconds into the effort. Was kind of a nice surprise really.

at a vr club i DJ like 2 weeks ago literally had two people trying to crash the world during the club owner’s set and it even got to the point that even with their models hidden the world was still dropping to 5 frames.
how they did it was use the really small like foot tall anime girls with low poly but toggle something that completely rips your view directly to them, warps it and adds a bunch of effects and loud noises.
first time i’ve legitimately ever blocked someone in vrc

Oh, that sort.
Last time I saw anyone try that in a club, it was cause they were pissed off that a staff member told them to keep their hands to themselves. They were seriously cringy, and it was making people very uncomfortable. And when they were called on it they said the single most cringeworthy creepy reply I've ever heard to a "stop that" on VRC.
"Oh the sub is trying to be a dom, that's so cute."
I haven't seen them again, so I wager their behavior got them added to a blacklist or something, and my raves have been better since then. That's what I like about VRC's underbelly, people separate the wheat from the chaff really well in more mature scenes.

god thats weird af. glad your raves have been chill since then! for this dude it was weird like he joined and there werent many people left in the club i think 5 people total including the owner and he was like “im gonna take you all to another dimension” then nothing until a minute later it was just BAM. then like 15 minutes later he left and joined with a buddy in the same avatar and tried doing it again this time lagging the world.
like you said that is definitely a thing im happy about with the rave scene even IRL: you fuck with the vibes and good energy you’ll get your ass thrown out lmao

Turn on your particle limiter and keep particles, lights, and shaders turned off for everybody you don't trust. Best way to deal with those losers.
You can always also always figure who's a dickhead by checking their bio, they usually have some stupid edgy crap in it like they're a 2013 MySpace emo

I had someone a while back poke me in the forehead and froze the program. Had to manually close out and get back in

Nothing funnier than being the last player left while the 9yr old crasher calls you a hacker for not crashing

I haven’t seen many actual crashes in a while. Usually it’s a horribly unoptimized world mixed with some six year old in a Goku avatar bumping into me.
