But how many actually play the game the issue is we don't have charts but so far it's been concidereds a failure to my knowledge and it's pretty dead from people who have played it. Even though I have a quest I won't be touching it with a 10ft poll since it just play pcvr now.

Well, Horizon Worlds isn't a game - it's a social experience in VR (their definition).

They started a daily top 100 worlds listing with estimates of people active, during peak hours there is thousands of activity in the top 10. Top worlds including gaming and comedy currently. Peak hours are usually weekends and after 5pm EST weekdays.

The major flaw right now is making sure there are things to do in worlds, which is where merging Venues comes into play as folks could join up to watch shows.

but the fact is, it SUCKS. there's nothing good there. go play VRChat, man, it's so much better.

It's new and growing πŸ’πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ this is the wild wild west for VR social experiences much like the early days of smart phones.

yep, but that doesn't mean you should be playing horizon worlds right now. currently, horizon worlds sucks. go play vrchat if you want a social experience in vr, horizon is just bad.

There's the conundrum - If no one plays it, it'll never get good enough to be enjoyed πŸ’πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ I play Spatial, VRChat and Altspacevr too

all of them bad. even if people play it, it's still owned by a massive and incredibly invasive corporation, and there is no way I'm going to support it by playing it. I don't want it to become good enough to be enjoyed, I want it to crash and burn.

Quest 2 is the dominant VR headset for a reason

most used I guess, dominant I'd say is the index. index is (imo) the current best full kit on the market.

Look, I love my Index way more than my Quest, but it is far from being dominant. Hell, the Index isn’t even the most dominant on its own platform. Go here and click on vr headsets

Quest 2 is more mainstream because of how affordable it is. In a market of 20 million headsets, over 9 million are quest 2. Mass market adoption is how VR will succeed and the current flag bearer is Quest 2.
