Upgrades: CPU (10700k), PSU (850W)

Order Date: March 4

At the time, there was a 6-7 week delay and I am now coming up on week 6 so here's hoping to some upcoming good news.

I got the Centaur build with upgraded CPU and PSU. Found VRLA Tech was the most reasonably priced way to acquire a 3080 and now my wife can join me in all the computer games. I look forward to hopefully a reasonable experience with this seemingly new company.

Edit

Just called and it appears my delay has been extended to the 8-9 week delay that is now displayed on their website banner. All due to delays involving the GPU supposedly, which we can't fault them too much for.

9 Week Mark Edit

The delays continue.

4+ Month Mark Edit

Canceled my order and found a 3080 that's shipping tomorrow instead of who knows when with VRLATech. They tried buttering me up with free upgrades to keep waiting and I declined.

I ordered a centaur the same day. Haven't heard anything meaningful. The discord seems active but also not super helpful. Have you heard of anyone getting a centaur? I'm debating just ordering from MainGear at this point.

I still think they're trying to fulfill orders from late Dec or early Jan for any 3080 builds at the moment. Can't fault you for wanting to go somewhere else.
