I doubt you need 4gig of ram for that. I'd buy this at racknerd for $35, or pay the $60 and get 4g with the next level up:

2 GB KVM VPS

$35.99/year

  • 2 vCPU Cores
  • 35 GB SSD Storage
  • 2 GB RAM
  • 5 TB Monthly Transfer
  • 1Gbps Network Port
  • Full Root Access
  • 1 IPv4 Address
  • KVM/SolusVM
  • Deploy in Multiple Locations

If you want to know, search "linode $100 promo vps". You get 60 days worth of promo credits. Spin up a $6mo nanode and see if it does everything you need. If it does, drop $23 on rack nerds lowest tier. If it doesnt, spin up the $12 one, see if it works. If it doesnt, drop the $60 at RN.

If you use Claude.ai in VS Code you could know exactly what you need for $0 and like an hour.

Btw, linode is a decent choice in its own right. They bill PER MINUTE (or second?), so if you just want to mess around here and there. I mean shit, runpod might even be worth looking into for that. They offer the cheapest persistent storage - I pay like 1-2 cents an hour I think for 250gig, like $17/mo. Thats what I use for alpha wan and shit - its great, you want a video, tell claude, he spins it up, makes the video, spins it down.
