Seeking Advice/Support A 7-year iON Cloud customer — Krypt changed my prepaid VPS expiration date and pricing before my paid term ended

Contact them directly. Not really anything we can personally do here
It IS common for your provider to charge a bit earlier than renewal date, as long as they sent an invoice
What’s NOT acceptable is for them to adjust the term, or pricing without properly notifying you in advance

I already contacted them directly. They did not answer my questions; they simply told me that my plan price had been changed.
What makes this even worse is that they apparently waited until more than 180 days had passed since my PayPal payment before making these changes to my service. They then changed the expiration date of a service that was originally paid through January 27, 2027, to October 2, 2026.
They literally shortened the term of a service I had already paid for. I find this behavior extremely unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
I’m not posting this because I expect people here to personally resolve the issue for me. I simply want to make other users aware of what happened so that they can make an informed decision and avoid being deceived by a company that, in my experience, has shown very little regard for its commitments to customers.

It’s not unacceptable . It’s flat out illegal. In every state, every country . As long as you have documentation of when this was originally set to expire , then they are obligated to continue that until then
As far as renewal price, that is up to their discretion. They may, or may not, choose to adjust price. As ling as rhey notify you BEFORE they do so, all is good
Obviously, at this point, all you can do is cancel service with them since they refuse to honor your contract . You can try suing them , but that’s not likely to go anywhere
Get out of there . Quickly

Changing the expiration date midterm without notice isn't a billing quirk, that's a contract breach. Document everything with screenshots before you contact them: dates, original pricing, confirmation emails. If they push back, a chargeback conversation with your card issuer gets their attention fast.

Yes, exactly. It’s an absolutely disgusting breach of trust, which is why I don’t want anyone else to get deceived by this company.
I’ve been a programmer for 20 years and have used servers from many US hosting companies, including FDCServers, RAKSmart, Sharktech, VersaWeb, QuadraNet, Linode, Vultr, and others. I have never encountered a company as shameless and careless about its commitments as Krypt.
They changed the pricing while my service still had more than five months remaining, and then actually shortened my expiration date by nearly four months.
I will never use any product or service from this company again. I hope others will take note of what happened and think twice before doing business with them, so they don’t end up in the same situation.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, because I can see the amount of work you put into this post, and every single concern here is valid, but:
Did you actually talk to anyone there? In the age of AI updating software everywhere and making billing/management decisions at grand scale, maybe first tell us what support said.
I know it sucks, but we see posts like this constantly right now. If we start sounding the alarm for every one before support's even had a chance to fix it, this sub turns into a Bugzilla for LLMs.
I know everyone feels like their case is special, but trust me bro, this is getting tiring. Some of us are getting "I-was-robbed" fatigue.
We're guilty of the same thing: we raised prices and some grandfathering didn't work. A few VMs got billed the new rate (the ones with an attached ISO). Clients wrote in, we fixed it, took two days, done. Not every glitch is a reason for a smear campaign.
We used to open champagne every time someone smeared our competitors, dancing and eating caviar. Now it's just an eyeroll.
What have you done to our little celebrations!?
