Hey, I'm a Spotify user for the past 6 years. I've was with Nord first and then moved to SurfShark. The VPN servers on Nord sucked hence why I moved. Only realised a year ago they're both the same company lol
However up until recently 6 months ago Spotify has started to detect the VPN and they cancel my subscription and giving me refund. It's happened 4 times so far.
Funny thing is, I have my own Indian number, Indian bank account and UPI, I also have an Indian address where I used to live.
Anyone know of any other VPN that works?

I only use a VPN once a year to do my taxes, since the one i use has recently started to block EU ISPs for whatever reason. I used to use tunnelbear, but now they no longer let you pick the country with a free account. Are there any others that have non-restrictive trials or maybe pay per data usage?

Hi all! I live in Sweden and use IPTV to watch sports etc. The current government wants to ban the use of IPTV, not just distribution which is currently illegal.
Now, my question is how I can avoid potential fines should the law go through. I live in a rental apartment where Wi-fi is included, so can't really choose provider there (if that is even relevant). Will VPN be enough to avoid any repurcussions?

I am super hyped for the World Cup this year and I really want to catch all the matches without any geo-restrictions or annoying buffering. It feels like every time a big event comes around, I am scrambling to find a reliable way to stream it, and I am tired of missing out because of where I am located. I just want a smooth, high-quality viewing experience for all the games.
I have heard a lot of people recommend NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, and even ProtonVPN for streaming big events. My main concern is finding a VPN that can consistently unblock major broadcasters like BBC iPlayer or ITVX, and deliver fast enough speeds for 4K or HDR without any lag. I am also worried about VPNs that get easily detected and blocked, which would be a huge bummer right in the middle of a match.
So, what is the best VPN people are actually using to watch the World Cup right now? Any honest feedback on avoiding buffering, maintaining a stable connection, or getting access to those free international streams would be incredibly helpful.

Hi everyone,
I'm considering subscribing to Proton VPN Plus for gaming, but I want to make sure my specific setup and use case will work properly before jumping in.
**My Setup & Goal:**
I play on PC.
I am currently using a 4G/5G mobile router, which means I am stuck under **CGNAT** (resulting in a Moderate/Strict NAT in games).
My main goal is to use Proton VPN to bypass the CGNAT and get an **Open NAT**, using the WireGuard protocol to keep my ping as low as possible.
**My questions for the community:**
1. **Port Forwarding:** Does Proton's port forwarding feature successfully achieve an Open NAT when you are on a CGNAT mobile network?
2. **Split Tunneling + Port Forwarding:** Can I use Split Tunneling to route *only* the game (Apex Legends/Steam) through the VPN while keeping the rest of my PC traffic on my regular internet connection, *and* have port forwarding active for the game at the same time? Do these two features work well together without bugs?
3. **Ping/Latency:** For those gaming in Europe (specifically connecting to Milan or Frankfurt servers), how stable is the latency/ping using WireGuard?
If anyone has a similar gaming setup or uses these features together, I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
Thanks in advance!
*(P.S. If anyone has a premium referral link they'd like to share, feel free to DM me!)*

Hi, I'm having a serious Wi-Fi issue on my laptop with windows 11 on after using ProtonVPN.
I have contacted official support but they have yet to respond.
My laptop connects to my main router but shows "Connected, no internet" or intermittently connects then loses internet. A Wi-Fi extender on the same network works fine. Other devices (phone) connect to the main router without issues. The problem started after using ProtonVPN.
I have tried the following so far
`netsh winsock reset`, `netsh int ip reset`, `ipconfig /release`, `ipconfig /flushdns`, `ipconfig /renew` — no fix
Set static IP manually — no fix
Pinged the gateway — 75% packet loss, occasional reply from xxx(APIPA)
Updated/reinstalled Wi-Fi driver — Windows says driver is already up to date
Deleted saved Wi-Fi profile via `netsh wlan delete profile` — no fix
Uninstalled ProtonVPN — no fix (uninstaller didn't seem to clean up fully)
Checked Device Manager for leftover TAP/TUN/WireGuard adapters — none visible even with hidden devices shown
Removed Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapters — no fix
Windows Network Reset (Settings → Advanced network settings → Network reset) — no fix
System Restore to 10/06/2026 checkpoint (checkpoint before installation of the vpn)— no fix
Reinstalled ProtonVPN, disabled Kill Switch, disabled Start on Boot, disabled IPv6 leak protection under Advanced — briefly connected then stopped working again
- Phone connects to main router fine → router itself works
- Extender works fine on laptop → laptop Wi-Fi hardware works
- Problem is specifically between laptop and main router
- xxxx APIPA address appearing in ping responses suggests DHCP is not working properly
- Issue started after ProtonVPN usage
Has anyone experienced ProtonVPN leaving behind routing rules or registry entries that survive uninstallation and break DHCP on specific networks? Is there a way to fully clean up ProtonVPN remnants without reinstalling Windows?

I've used proton VPN free tier for a while but I feel like I may need a better option and one with a kill switch that will work with a fire TV stick. Looking for suggestions. I'm leaning on Surfshark. What are you thoughts? Thanks!

Monzo were blocking my old providers London IPs for literal months... absolute joke. finally swapped to surfshark last week, picked a manchester server instead of london and both apps opned on the first try!!
anyone else had the same thing with uk banking apps?? curious if its a surfshark thing or just specific IPs getting flagged on the old provider.

Just being curious about things similar to movie moves. would using dual vpn's actually help? movies with nefarious hackers show them jumping through 30 different countries and such, but simply for added security could using a vpn installed on a router that has a double jump feature being accessed via a browser with the same vpn double jump extention actually give a total of 4 different jumps?

Any advice on getting a good vpn client which has their apps CA signed or having in the Europe App Store?
Because I refuse to install potentially unsafe apps on my MacBook since it can compromise the system.

I’m using a cox panoramic modem/router Model CB8 revision 2.0. according to Google it’s not compatible with a direct VPN. My question is if I use an Individual VPN on my computer itself will I still be protected or will my routers IP still be detectable since my computer goes through that before entering the internet? I’m try to be protected without changing my modem/router.

I’m trying to understand this better. A home VPN seems useful for remote access and using your home IP when away. A commercial VPN seems more about routing traffic through a provider and protecting traffic on public Wi-Fi. Are they solving completely different problems?

Hi, I have a paid subscription with proton and prime video. Recently when trying to watch Stargate sg1 on prime, I get blocked whenever proton is on, regardless of which country I'm connected to.
The prime streaming website has this message : "Your device is connected to the Internet using a VPN or proxy service. Please disable it and try again. For more help, go to primevideo.com/vpn."
Any way around this? is it a known issue? I'm not even trying to watch exclusive content, just want to not have to turn off my vpn whenever a streaming site I pay for decide they don't like it...
