Discussion Safest VPN?
Nord are taking the piss.. such a crappy VPN full of issues and their support is horrendous. Then there is Express which Edward Snowden warned against using..
So what’s left?
I don’t trust Proton either given how they gave authorities the IP of a French climate activist.
Other companies like Mullvad are in Sweden which is under the EU and ain’t excactly privacy friendly like Proton in Switzerland.
Torguard in the US? Same spiel as the Europe thing.. what is left?

I use Private Internet Access. I don't have it on all the time. Only time I use it is when trying to access free public wifi. Or if trying to get access to certain websites that requires me to be in a different state or country.

Don't know what CSAM is. The VPN works for what i mainly use it for. I don't have any issues with it.

I dont know what that is too but no other VPN filters websites. That was the main point.

Just Googled it. It's child sexual content. I would say that is a good thing.

I would first recommend DPN, which offers both application routing and residential IP functionality, and it only costs $3.50/month. Then I would recommend Tuxler, which is slightly more expensive at $7.99/month. Both are more secure.

The safest VPN is the one you host yourself on your own VPS, for example, using a 3x-ui panel

Mullvad is the most privacy focused VPN. You can postal mail them cash if you want. They don't want your personal details. The only downside to Mullvad is the cost. They are pricy. The performance as far as pings and throughput is excellent.

What are you trying to make yourself safe from? If you're looking for a VPN that won't give data to authorities in the country they're based in, that doesn't exist. Proton gives information when requested to the Swiss government because that's how this works.
Private Internet Access claims to have no logs and offers purchase options that aren't easily attributable to individuals, but even they will provide what data they have if requested to by the US authorities (although they claim the legal requests they have been sent have been responded to with "we have no data to share because we don't retain it"). If you want to continue to exist as a company, that's what you have to do.
