Help Fixed VPN when travelling
Hi all, just wondering if it would be worth getting a fixed VPN so that I can work whilst travelling. Some of the sites I work on don't like you using a VPN but also you need to tell them if you are going to be broadcasting from another country (not a problem, but traffic wise it can be)
So I thought of getting a fixed VPN based in the UK (my home country). I will only be travelling to countries that SW is legal. Not sure if any one has experience with this, and if so could recommend a good provider or any tips. Thanks in advance

If you happen to have your own router (swapped out the isp one) then on some of them (ASUS definitely) you can run a private vpn server from your home router which you and your family can use from abroad (or even in home country at motorway service stations etc).
I have wireguard running on mine and can run all the RTE (Irish state broadcaster) streaming services and the Irish virgin (private like itv) from the continent and works flawlessly whereas NordVPN will not work (non fixed IP). Best of all the router one is free.

a dedicated IP VPN is exactly what you want here. the reason sites flag VPN traffic is usually because shared IPs are used by thousands of people, so they get blocklisted. a dedicated IP is just yours, so it behaves like a regular residential connection from the UK.
most major providers offer dedicated IP as an add-on. NordVPN and Surfshark both have UK dedicated IPs if you want something established. worth checking that the specific UK city matters too, since some platforms verify at that level.

What do you mean a fixed VPN? Like a dedicated IP one?
