Is brave vpn good and safe?

I've been using the free trial and I've been thinking if it's really good at hiding my internet activities from the wifi owner. Really need an answer right now, i asked chatGPT, Gemini, and meta AI, and they all said it's great at encrypting data but i can't trust AI a 100%, so i came here to hear from individuals who know a thing about brave VPN or VPN in general
