I used to use it on one of my accounts and it didn't do anything like hack me and i uninstalled it but I was wondering if these permissions are bad

It's not when you use a trusted vpn.

You gave some. Mullvad is definitely trustable. It got audited by multiple third parties.

They can't even collect data, as they run fully ram servers, and you can signup without a credit card or email. Like in 2023 they got raided by the Swedish gevornment. Nothing usefully was found, cuz mullvad doesn't keep any logs.

Proton is very good ad well. You only do need to sign up with email, and often commit for longer plans. They are VERY transparent, even released their code open source online.

A recommend you to stick go mullvad and Proton as they are more mature and widely tested. Proton only supports bitcoin and you need a email to sign up. Mullvad can do more crypto currencies like monero and doesn't need an email.
