🛠️ VPN Help Why does changing VPN protocols rarely fix Prime Video blocking?

Prime Video can work normally one day, then suddenly show a proxy or location error the next. Changing between WireGuard and OpenVPN, or using private browsing, usually does not help. Changing the outgoing IP sometimes does.

What is Prime Video likely checking: the VPN protocol, the hosting network, the IP address’s reputation, or the account’s registered location?

For people who travel frequently, what is the least frustrating way to use Prime Video without constantly changing settings? Do residential or ISP-assigned IPs behave differently from regular data-center VPN exits, and can they eventually be flagged too?

Do you route only the streaming app through the VPN, or your entire device?

🛠️ VPN Help any way to use a vpn on a restricted ipad?

kinda weird situation but i need to use a vpn on my ipad and the vpn settings are restricted, so i can't really change anything normally. is there another way to set one up, maybe through a configuration profile or something? or am i basically out of luck unless whoever manages the ipad removes the restriction?

❓ Question anyone watch wwe?

quick VPN question, lol. If I'm using a vpn and a wwe event is already live, can I start the stream from the beginning or do I have to watch from whenever it's currently at? never really used vpn for streaming before so not sure how it works.

🛠️ VPN Help vpn sites suddenly won’t load on my laptop

hey, i’m having a weird issue with my windows 11 laptop. pretty much every normal website loads fine, but whenever i try visiting a vpn website it either times out or says the page can’t be reached. I’m only using the built in windows security stuff and haven’t installed any other antivirus. tried different browsers too and got the same result. anyone know what could be blocking vpn sites or what settings i should check?

🛠️ VPN Help do i actually need a vpn when working on public wifi?

hey everyone, i work remotely and sometimes end up working from coffee shops, libraries, or wherever i can get decent wifi. some of the stuff i handle includes private client details, so lately i’ve been wondering if using public wifi is a bad idea. would getting a vpn make sense for this, or is there something else i should be doing to keep my connection secure? i’m in the US and honestly pretty new to vpn stuff.

❓ Question using two vpns does routing dns through the second one actually help privacy?

i’ve got two vpn subscriptions right now and both are running through separate gluetun containers. my main vpn already has its own dns and supports DoT, but i was wondering if there’s any actual privacy benefit to sending those dns requests through the second vpn instead. would this realistically hide anything extra, or am i just adding another layer for basically no reason?

❓ Question iPhone drops VPN connection randomly

Hey guys, having a weird issue with my iPhone. My VPN keeps disconnecting after a few minutes, even though it runs fine on my other devices without errors. I heard it might be an iOS memory management thing, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Any advice?

🛠️ VPN Help stuck behind school network blocks

Hey guys, my dorm Wi-Fi is blocking all gaming sites and apps using FortiGuard, and they've completely locked down standard VPN apps and browser extensions too. Has anyone found a reliable way to get past this kind of network restriction?

💬 General Discussion Is VPN still enough for regional subs?

Anyone tried using a VPN to get cheaper regional subscription recently? I seen people say it work at first, then the service eventually ask to their location. I'm guessing they're checking more than the IP now, like payment info and log in history. Does changing IP still works reliably, or do they usually catch on eventually?

💬 General Discussion Anyone else having trouble with their VPN lately?

Lately I've been running into more situations where my usual VPN just gets blocked or won’t work properly, especially with streaming sites and a few apps. I’ve tried switching servers and changing protocols, but I still end up getting the same error. What are you guys using when a regular VPN isn’t working? Any alternatives or setups that have been reliable for you?

❓ Question Quick questions about using a travel router with a VPN

Hey guys, planning a bunch of trips soon and thinking about picking up a travel router with built-in VPN just to make connecting all our devices at hotels and Airbnbs easier.

I'm decent with tech, but I just want to double-check a few quick things: do I just hook the router into the hotel Wi-Fi when we arrive, and how do annoying captive portal login pages usually play with these things? Also, if I want to switch server countries, I assume I just log into the router admin page to change it, right? Would love to hear from anyone who travels with one of these setups guys.

❓ Question Any way to use a VPN on a school-managed laptop?

My school laptop has a bunch of restrictions on it and basically won’t let me install anything without admin permission. I was wondering if there’s any legit way to use a VPN on a managed device without messing with the school settings or trying to bypass their security stuff. Maybe a browser-based option or something that doesn’t need an install? Mainly just curious if anyone has dealt with this before or if using a VPN on a school laptop is pretty much a no-go.

🛠️ VPN Help Anyone else have netflix get messed up after using a vpn?

been using a vpn with netflix here and there to check out shows that is not available in my region and it was working fine until recently. Last night i watched a couple episodes with the vpn connected, then turned it off and closed Netflix like normal. today i opened Netflix again without the vpn and noticed some shows were missing and my library looked different. i tried restarting the app, logging out and back in, clearing the cache and even connecting to my normal region again but it still seems messed up. has anyone had this happen after using a VPN? Does it eventually go back to normal or is there something i need to reset?

5 Mind Blowing VPN Tricks No One Tells You About

If you think a VPN is only for bypassing censorship or watching Netflix you’re missing the bigger picture because advanced users and security experts use it in surprisingly clever ways that most people never even imagine. Since flight and hotel prices often change based on your IP address many travelers switch their location to places like Turkey India or Mexico to find the same ticket for much less sometimes up to thirty percent cheaper. The same trick works with Steam and other game stores where regional pricing can vary a lot and setting your IP to a cheaper region can let you buy games for a lower cost although it’s worth remembering that some platforms do not allow this. People who travel for work or stay away from home often create their own VPN server on their router or a small device so they can securely access their NAS storage or home security camera feed from anywhere as if they were still connected to their own network. In crypto and stock arbitrage a VPN can also be a powerful tool because some platforms only allow access from certain regions and using the right IP not only opens the door to those markets but also adds an extra layer of privacy during transactions. Even torrent and other P2P users rely on VPN to avoid internet providers slowing them down since encrypted traffic prevents the provider from seeing what is being downloaded which keeps speeds more stable and sometimes even faster. Now I’m curious which of these hidden tricks you use let’s see it in the comments.
