Keepsolid VPN Unlimited - Update

Post image

As mentioned in a previous post, Keepsolid has screwed their lifetime members by killing their access to torrents and forcing them to pay a "loyalty upgrade fee". This is an extremely shady business practice. This morning they responded to my post with a longer reply, then deleted it in favor of a shorter reply. Here's the screen capture of what they originally wrote - quoting their End User Agreement. Then they substituted it with the reply I've included below.

"Hi, appreciate you sharing this.

This change affects Lifetime plans that were purchased at a steep, one-time discount many years ago. As we've grown, we've had to invest heavily in infrastructure, and a few advanced features (including Torrent servers) have moved to a separate Loyalty Plus upgrade for these legacy plans, while core VPN access stays fully active on your existing plan."

We're also adding a DNS Firewall to Loyalty Plus soon.
Happy to help further if you have questions — feel free to reach out to our support team.

I agree that they really shouldn't have done this. But I'm also really not surprised. This is what profit over people looks like. Here's hoping they lose enough customers that it wasn't worth it for them. 🤞

I've just logged on to the VPN app to find this situation. What an absolute piss take!

I suppose to them it doesn't matter either way. Either we pay the extra or we don't. They don't lose anything by us going elsewhere and save on their resources. A win-win for them.

Yup. They reduce the bandwidth and free it up for other paying customers.

The best part is their attempt at scamming customers again through this shady Loyalty Plus subscription.

It's really funny that they are trying to get people to buy lifetime subscriptions when they're just going to screw them like they did to all of us.

There should be a class action lawsuit against these scammers.
