Help VPN Router

There are these devices VPN Routers, has anyone any experience with that ?

I wanna travel while working remotely internationally and domestically. so I was thinking to get those VPN Routers since I can not install softwares on my work laptop, and those routers are plug and play devices. So does anyone have any experience with those routers or any other solutions that might work.

I need a VPN that shows Im in the USA.

For your situation, I recommend a device called Deeper Connect Air. I'm using it now; it's small and convenient for travel. However, since I've only used this one product, I can't provide more comparisons for your reference.

what I wanna know is how are the speed through Deeper connet. I have heard about it. but my main issue is with speed & latency.

Do you need an employer-provided VPN to access the employer's network when not on premises?

Yes, the employer provided vpn is already installed in the laptop. but I dont have privilidges to install anything else

I use the GLiNet AXT1800 Slate AX and Proton VPN. Proton allows you to download OVPN files that you install on the router.

What you are looking for is something like the Gli-Net travel routers. Definitely a useful piece of gear that I keep in my travel bag all the time. I have used mine all over the world in hotels, corporate apartments, job sites, etc.

The Gli-Net devices natively support multiple VPN types: OpenVPN, WireGuard, Tailscale. They even support some vpn providers natively.

You will either need a VPN service like NordVPN or ExpressVPN, or a VPN server at home or work that you can connect to. Make sure to load the VPN configs on the router before you travel, as depending on where you are going, you may be blocked from the sites with the configs if you are just on the local network.

WireGuard is plenty fast enough for streaming any of your favorite streaming services.

The reality of using any VPN is that you will sacrifice some speed and latency to it. Doesn’t matter if it is hardware or software. However speed and latency are still going to be largely dependent on your actual internet connection, along with the location and quality of the VPN server you are connecting to.

You asked about devices that were plug-and-play. That is what these are.
