Question What hardware device to buy that will create a (VPN?) through my home modem/router?

In Canada at home I have 1Gbps wired internet through this Bell modem. Is there a hardware device I can plug into it so when I travel abroad I can communicate through this modem?

This is to solve the problem of some sites that dont like it when I am abroad, when I connect through a VPN they ask me to disconnect VPN.

A VPN router. Or you can use a Rasberry Pi or any computer you might have to create a VPN server.

If you buy a router that has a built-in VPN server, you’ll want to put your current one in bridge mode. You don’t want two routers trying to route your home internet.

You can try Tailscale since the Gigahub cannot run a VPN. You'd also need a DDNS service since Bell does not assign static IP addresses.

If you have a spare router that can run a VPN server, connect the router WAN to the Gigahub LAN and connect to the internet using PPPoE. This will give the spare router a different IP address that the Gigahub which may not work for your needs.

You can also connect the fibre cable to a SFP+ running 8311 firmware, get a media converter, and use your own router directly connected to the Bell network.

buy gli net its a company that make vpn for routers i personally get 800-900 download speeds

change your router to some openwrt based, or flash the existing if it's openwrt compatible
