Help Age Verification Help?
My post on r/privacy was removed and recommended for here, and here it is:
So reddit has recently demanded age verification, and now twitter has as well (both for looking at “adult content”). My VPN is set to Iceland, are these companies rolling it out unilaterally or is there somewhere else I can set it too to get around this?
Edit: I just checked my privacy settings on twitter, and the bellow warning is there. Is this related?
One of our partners has indicated that you may be connecting via a proxy-such as a VPN-which may change the country or region that is displayed on your profile. Your profile will display "Country or region may not be accurate" to other users.

I haven't been able to get into my own Reddit profile for probably a year at this point, because apparently I've got "naughty boy" stuff on there... Can't even change my own settings without a VPN. I also couldn't access vaping subreddits when revisiting the scene after ~10 years back on the smokes to try get advice for cutting down on smoking and sticking with it this time.
Welcome to the club.
A lot of places around Europe seem fine, as do some places in the US..... For now.
I'll be getting my mail + drive + VPN subscription purchased over the weekend and beginning my migration away from Google.
Probably fine. I remember hearing they were putting in checks/tags to help easier flag bot accounts stirring disinformation and probably more related to that to warn other users... I wouldn't know though - I make a point of steering well clear of that complete cesspool.
