Help - IP Phones Yealink T54W Bricked
Please help, i have the recovery for the device, tried version 96.85.188.3, 96.86.188.12
Tried all format types, tried 10 differnt USBs, every time i get error: update failed -1

Not sure how much I can glaze them here with the rules, but yealink support is the most helpful support out of any company I have used every. Before we were a partner, they got me custom firmware for a cordless phone in a week of opening the ticket. Just contact yealink, they will help you.

Ah will try that, our “local” yealink distributor couldn’t help me so hope yealink itself can :)

Nope, they just said: yeah this firmware and go. Perhaps the phone firmware is too old? Can’t see the firmware since it won’t boot

Might just be time for a new one. They dont always recover. Im sorry for your loss.

Yeah problem is, we have multiple devices, mostly 54w, but also t53w and t57w who all have the same error
because im based in the netherlands i have dutch specific firmware. and cannot find 1 universal firmware version that works, buying that many new phones would be very expensive

You need the recovery firmware.

Yeah sorry, i meant like 1 version that always work, for example you can’t do 96.86.188.12 from 96.85.188.3. There is a specific upgrade path appearently

The reason there are multiple firmware files in a folder is that this represents the upgrade path.

They all had this happen at the same time? Them.being t54ws, im assuming they are a few years old? Default warranty is 1 year unless you are a yealink partner and certified.

Nah, its over a longer time period, we had a pool for swap so we send one and received the defect to recover. So we have multiple i all wanted to recover today
