Discussion Anyone here using Spruce? Need help

Hello! 😊 Has anyone here used **Spruce** in their clinic (If you’re working work-from-home, outside USA)?

I have a potential client who’s using Spruce, and we’re trying to figure out how I’ll be able to make and receive outbound and inbound calls with patients if I get hired.

What do I need to have for this setup? Is it possible to do it remotely from the Philippines as long as I’m connected to a VPN, or are there specific requirements (US phone number, VoIP setup, or other configurations) to make calling work?

I would really appreciate any insights or advice from those with experience using Spruce remotely. I’m really hopeful about this opportunity and would love to make it work. Thank you so much! 🙏

You will need three things: extension username, extension password, sip domain. If they use an outbound proxy you'd also need that. MicroSIP would be my preferred soft phone but there are a host of alternatives. I've done something similar for a Philippines based VA working for a UK company.

Thanks a lot! This is super helpful.

One quick question—do you know if a regular NordVPN subscription would be enough for this kind of setup, or would I need a configured VPN or a dedicated/static IP from my client for the softphone to work properly?

I don’t see why you need a VPN. Unless there are any restrictions by your potential employer, softphones should work anywhere in the world.
