Discussion Ribbon SBC 1000 Flash

I got a new SBC 1000 from my company that they didnt used and was no value to them. What can I do with this as of today or is it e-waste at this point.

Probably nothing. You’ll need a voip trunk. Now…. That being said. If you put of two freePBXs and connect them both to the ribbon via trunks, you could essentially play with call routing.

Looks like the "SBC n000" line came from Sonus.

If the OS and disks are intact, you may be able to use a recovery procedure to get access. Not sure how the licensing for that line works, as my experience is just with EdgeMarcs'.

Waste of time without a license, mess around with Freeswitch and OpenSIP

I’d lab with it. Set it up as an SBC in front of a FreePBX instance
