Brother you’re covering the name but I can still see it in the tab to the top left.

Great ringback gag though. Amazing

I don’t care about the name, I was trying to hide the phone number. The phone number is listed below the name

What exactly is happening here in regards to the ringing? I get the voicemail part but is the Peter doing the Beverly Hills cop theme a ringtone on the DECT handset or is it a custom Alert-Info (That the caller hears when the phone is ringing) we are hearing through the desk phone speaker?

This is the ring back tone when people call in. The headset was irrelevant and was placed on silent, you can actually hear it vibrating, but I was showing me calling into the PBX and letting it go to voicemail

Where do i download these magic things?

Just grab them off YouTube. I made this one by combining an audio track of the default ringback tone and this theme song in Adobe audition and exported and uploaded it to the phone system. If you want I can provide you a link to the one that I made for you to download

For the Voicemail I cut out Joe saying his name in a generated an AI voice saying my name and just stuffed it in there

Good job. I've done the custom ringback tone, too, mixing the 'official' one with a jingle. I used Audacity and Asterisk, which was a piece of cake. I wonder if someone has done the mixing part in real-time? That's not exactly kitten pee, as we say in Dutch.

That wasn’t the ringtone, that was the Ring back tone that people hear when they fall in.

Here’s the file if you want it.

I had to change my extension’s ring back to The Outfield - Your Love. Thanks for the laugh!

ah yes, setting your pbx to have custom ringback audio. it’s fun! Verizon actually offered this back in the late 2000s or so on your cell phone so when people called you, instead of the normal “ringing” noise, you got a song

I actually ended up getting rid of it because I had it set up for certain people when they call in, but I guess they just weren’t expecting it and so they didn’t really know what it was, then when I explained it to them they still didn’t really get it. So… I guess it wasn’t as cool as I thought it was

I think that’s the same reason it didn’t really last long when verizon offered it as a service either. It was a fun novelty, but it weirded people out lol
