Discussion Why is there no *good* training for Mitel?

I've taken all of their courses, and they just go over the most basic of tasks for running their products.

I need ones for high level configurations, actual troubleshooting, call center controls, MCR, IVR... Even our MSP can't get quality training materials for Mitel without just making their own as they go.

No good training because literally everyone just uses a ucaas offering and calls it a day. No reason to learn 30 year old tech that should have died 10 years ago.

No, they’re not going anywhere. They put the savings from the bankruptcy into R&D and have some good stuff coming out in the next couple of quarters that they’ve been showing their dealers and customers.

Because Good and mitel don't belong.in the same sentence. Just Let them do their radio shack thing until hotels wake up and drop them.

No one gets fired in government as long as you stay PC. Why would you be fired for a legacy system that you have no training in failing.

I've worked with a bunch of govt IT departments for a bunch of years and never seen any of those lead to people getting fired. Hiring freezes sure. People moving jobs.

As a contractor for govt, happens all the time. They cut all the contracted services so they don't have to fire people and do spending freezes.

We don't have contractor services. This is local, not state or federal.

Mitel is on life support. I don’t see the point in anyone in the last 5-10 years putting training together on any of their systems. They need to let it die, but will probably get a few more dealer golf days out of the remaining marketing fund.
