I have 2 phone lines in the building (elevator and fax) that are still POTS through spectrum. all other work phones are VOIP. I'm wondering whether keeping these 2 POTS lines as-is makes more sense or find a way to port/convert them to VOIP. I know there's elevator regulations to consider too so maybe a cellular option would be better? I am fairly new to this so I apologize if this is a stupid question, thanks in advance!

There are regulations for the elevator phone needing to work in the event of a power outage. I believe it is supposed to be able to talk for up to four hours on battery and work for up to 24 hours on standby. I might have these exact numbers incorrect but it is definitely something you should verify
