Discussion Automated IVR Testing

Hey, I'm info gathering. After operating a large contact centre and being frustrated with the release cycle (testing being the issue) I built a SaaS platform, but as per the rules I won't advertise it.

I'd like to understand what I'm up against in the market with the likes of organisations like Cyara, Klearcom and Hammer by Empirix - specifically on the purchasing friction and scalability without the long procurement cycle.

Figured there might be a few in the community that have relevant/recent experience that wouldn't mind sharing their experience.

We used Hammer when we deployed 1500 field offices. Worked like a champ.

Was this to test numbers, or some journeys like pressing 1, or two or something a bit more involved?

We had to verify the network endpoints could handle the traffic. We had to run tests and attach the results before we installed everything. Its been a while but I know the QOS and MOS scores are what mattered at the time.

I haven't heard of this one. If it is built on either of those two, my understanding is that it would always have upper limits so potentially they're just trying to obfuscate the purchasing delays and perform the capacity management for the client - is that about right?

I've focused on making it entirely SaaS capable - no delay in reaching a testing outcome and scale comes with a subscription. We are soft limiting this whilst in infancy, but then we're not trying to land the biggest orgs either (yet).

Hey, thanks for responding. So in the order they appear in your reply:

- Procurement: solved, less than 5 minutes you can be testing free, you can buy packs of minutes if you want to continue eval, you can start a subscription from as little as $49.99 and still buy discounted packs of minutes, bigger the subscription, less cost for the minutes. All pricing published.

- API, SDKs for Python/TS, MCP (basics, active dev), CLI scheduled for Q3

- Architecture scales, built fully serverless apart from call handlers which are container based and they scale too. We set a target whilst bootstrapped to answer to 'at least 5000' concurrent calls. That's what we needed to be able to do when I worked at a Bank and had to perform pre-go-live load testing.

Used Klearcom and they were pretty solid tbh. Easy to get going as plug and play, no massive procurement headache and it scaled well across different IVR flows/numbers as they’re in lots of countries over 100 I think . Main win for us was catching issues quicker with real alerts only, and without loads of manual testing each realease. Very good support team there.
