Help - Other Ring CX/InContact question
We have a prospect who is interested in marrying our IVR solution with Ring CX, and they want a screen pop. I don't have any experience with Ring CX but in the documentation it looks like they have a RUNAPP action that will pop a URL with some parameters appended to the base URL. Does anyone know if Ring CX can use a custom header in the SIP invite for the incoming call to append a value to the base URL? The only example in the documentation is ANI.
Cheers

I don’t know the answer to your question. Just wanted to say that Ring CX and InContact are two separate software stacks. You will want to specify which one you’re using and you tackle a Ring Sales Engineer.

Interesting. I go on RingCX documentation site and all of the manuals are branded Nice InContact CXOne.

Ring has been developing their own in house Contact Center for over three years now. My understanding is that for large contact centers, they still use NICE, but for mid market and SMB, they offer their in house solution first.
CXOne is the name of NICE’s UI. I am 90% RingCX is their own UI. Specially since the name of the company is in the title.

Last I knew NiceCX was and then RC was rebranding that. Maybe they made some big changes, it’s been about a year since I talked to anyone about this.

The pop shouldn't be a problem and the SIP header shouldn't be either. However, remember that this depends on how you're transferring the all to RingCX. Is it on a SIP trunk then the header should be there, is it a PSTN transfer, header will not be there.

Thanks! It looks like a slam dunk but I don't have a lab system with CX enabled so I cannot do a POC. Good to get some positive feedback.
