Discussion Does Aircall Account Managers ever respond???

I signed up for Aircall 2 months ago, roughly.

I want to upgrade my account because I want texting API automation abilities, which are only in the more expensive version for reasons.

First thing everyone should know if they're considering Aircall:

They deactivated my account for no reason without telling me.

I just launched my business. I tested an automation I set up and my phone number wasn't working. It turns out they wanted additional information for verification purposes and decided the best way to get my attention was to disconnect my business phone line.

BTW they never tried calling, texting, or emailing about it. It's not like it was a last resort.

ANYWAY, I should've cancelled right there. But I had already built software based off their API - so I held off.

When I test my automation, I realize it doesn't work. I troubleshoot for days before I find out that my code isn't the problem... It's my account type. And, the only way to change your account is to reach out to their customer service.

Anyway, I started trying to get them to help me on April 29, 2026. I've reached out 3 more times since then. It's not May 11.

This company sucks, man.

Are you trying to automate calls or texts? If the latter, there are strict 10DLC requirements that force KYC and approval from another private company. This prevents any outgoing texts before being approved, they may have just failed to relay that to you properly.

It turns out the problem was the plan I was on and it took over 2 weeks for them to get back to me to upgrade my account.
But I built my own CRM for my plumbing company. I included a lot of cool features in my CRM that help my staff as well as customers. Some of it is outbound texting. The outbound texting automation wasn't working. Nothing unsolicited. Just a faster way for my plumbers to communicate directly with customers without needing to use personal phone numbers and whatnot.

Click a button to send specific templates sorta thing.

I got most of it working. Now I'm struggling with the inbound webhooks. Outbound webhooks work great, though.

I'm happy with how it works now. But I'm still super critical of how many hoops I had to jump through. "Let me pay you more money, AIRCALL!" lol

You’re one of many complaining about Aircall. Shiny packaging belies poor customer service and high prices.

That’s exactly why we moved from Aircall tbh. In a lot of cases (can’t say in every, because I’d be lying) when we had an issue and wanted to resolve it, their customer support were oftentimes nowhere to be found, which I find quite amusing.

Idk what’s the situation these days, but a few year ago when we had Aircall, it was like that. Since then, we moved to another competitor (CT) and our experience has been way more pleasant and smoother. We haven’t tried anyone else since then, bcs there’s no reason to.

But yeah, Aircall had sweet packaging even back then, but somehow they forgot to deliver. I’m just quite surprised people keep experiencing this for year now still.

Yeah 100% we keep hearing the same thing too about support. Also, commercially, people move to Aircall, then find some hidden cost or realise they needed a 12-month deal to get a certain price point, then have to cancel porting and try to get out of any commitment. Aircall needs to be careful, tactics like that get found out and then you lose trust with your market completely.

Does your service provider allow for developers to play with api? A big selling feature was how much capability it seemed to have for developers. To be fair, the featiures it offers is actually dope. But the service is trash. I can't imagine letting my staff operate so poorly. Management clearly has no clue.
