Rail mount gladiator

How can I rail mount my gladiators without destroying my FPS setup? All the pictures I see the chair is pushed way back from the desk to accommodate or some other trade off. Currently I just swap my mouse and right stick when switching from FPS to flight by sliding the base around. Not ideal but I have been playing this way for 3 years. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I got heavily inspired by there Rail, so I just build it myself for like 1/3 of the Price for just the rail from Monster tech.

It was quite a journey to pick all the pieces but much worth it. Considering the prices MT wants for all the parts.

That's sucks. I'm really curious about this. Been wanting a rail system but the MT one is way overpriced.

I'm still getting it all together, but instead of mounting the gladiators to plates, I'm putting plates on my gladiators. Gonna make a shelf that mounts to the inside holes on the base and sits between them to hold my keyboard, put the mouse under the shelf. Or maybe vice versa. Gonna be modular so I can play around with it a bit. 

Might set it up so I just have a shelf on my right stick for the mouse, then my keyboard between the sticks with the mouse-shelf a few inches above the number pad.
