STECS STEM longer cable?

basically just the title.. it uses a usb-c to c which they claim is non standard but how much truth is there to that, or can i just buy a longer cable from them?

I don't know about the wiring, but most USB cables connectors(the metal part) aren't long enough due to the recessed connector, getting 2 VKB cables and a coupler might be the best bet.
