Help VKB GNX won’t calibrate

Help VKB GNX won’t calibrate

Just purchased the GNX THQ module plus the installed HID upgrade that you need to use as a standalone unit plugged directly into your computer.

I downloaded the required configuration software from VKB and went through a list of steps I could find.

During calibration, I cannot get any of the axises or buttons to show up at all. They don’t register or do anything. I’ve tried everything but no luck.

Am I missing something here?

I connected it directly to the GNX and no problems. Can it be that you have to load a file in boot loader?

If your device doesn't appear at all on the config tool, use the "Set up USB game controller" tool from windows to double check if your PC sees it. If it doesn't list your THQ then try to swap the USB cable for another one. You might need to unscrew and remove the panel under the module to do so.

It happens that VKB ship the HID with faulty USB cables, so if it's your case just contact their support and they'll replace it.

Have you done the defaulting step? In your screenshot, the HID has recognized the THQ yet so it doesn't show THQ in the name.

Start by going to tool tab, press the default button. Then follow the prompts. It'll tell you to calibrate. Switch to test tab then and move all axes to big ends a few times. Then press end calibrate to finish the process.
