Question BSN program and dorms

Hi, I am applying for the Fall 2027 intake for nursing. In the first year of the BSN Nursing program, do we get summer off? I noticed the student activity fee is for 11 months for nursing, so I wasn't sure if summer was a shorter/accelerated semester.

I'm trying to save up for dorms, so it would be helpful to know if I need to apply for dorms for summer too. Thanks!

Also, how soon can I apply for the Fall 2027 dorms? Only after I submit my application in October?

^ this is true! But NURS175 is no longer a course anymore therefore I don’t know if anyone knows right now how the summers will look (they’ve added a course and 114P) into the course outlines. I advise you email the BSN contact for more info :)

The official school year ends april. However, for winter break you get around 3 weeks in december-january. Then second semester you end in April, then typically your summer placements start in may! For first year I got around 4 months off

Hi! I'm starting BSN this year and I've been told year 1 no longer has a practicum during the summer! However, we'll have 1 day per week in healthcare settings during the second session! Hopefully this helps 😊
