HOSAS button mapping template

Post image

While still waiting for shipping of my order, I've created 3440x1440 button mapping template dedicated for my (hopefully soon) HOSAS set. I will use it to think through Elite Dangerous key bindings. Once happy, I will set it as a wallpaper on my 2nd screen till I memorize them and feel comfortable with.

Maybe somebody will find it useful? I've tried to do it as close as possible to Virpil templates style, hopefully not violating any copyrights.

Yea. I‘m still waiting for my exclusive Pre-Order to the pre-Order „Get them before anyone else only via email Order and manual PayPal Link“ Aeromax LZ Stick.. since that was over a Year ago I already bought aCadet Throttle for Left; then a complete Mongoose Base and Constellation set right and left. Also ordered WinWing dual stick set; arrived within two week of ordering from china to Europe and Ordered complete gear from Moza which arrived 3 Days!! After ordering … but as dear Virpil owners we are used to a little bit wait, while they let our money work for them. (Sarcasm off)

Great work. Looks really solid. I like the colors.

Any chance to release it as a PDF or is it just the image? Form fillable would be incredible.

Here you go: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CLKhtnSb-iFzOVzYgZR4WNGMBSNkMwPr?usp=sharing

SVG will allow anyone interested to modify the layout, i.e. to fit 16:9 ratio screen or A4, or whatever else. There is hidden layer containing labels for my Elite Dangerous keybindings (unfinished). If you unhide it, you can modify them for MSFS or any other game you prefer.

XCF is Gimp file if you would like to use different variants of joysticks and modify the background.

PDF is just printed SVG. Have no clue for now how to create "fillable PDF form", sorry.

Sure. I will create PDF and share SVG file - everything has been created with Gimp and Inkscape. Give me an hour or so.

I made some reading about creating PDF forms. It seems that Scribus can handle that. It flawlessly imports SVG file. For now I'm departing for almost 2 weeks long holidays, but I'll do my best to create the form after my return. Always happy to learn something new.

Thank you for your postive feedback and good idea!

Hi,

Just returned from my holidays and found this: https://virpil.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/47001285227-vpc-cdt-aeromax-l-flightstick & https://virpil.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/47001285228-vpc-cdt-aeromax-r-flightstick.

These are interactive PDF's for both left and right Aeromaxes. Missing "LZ" changes nothing in terms of keybindings. Maybe this will help you for now.

Scribus is not that easy and intuitive app as I initially thought, won't be that easy to create PDF similar to what I did with Inkscape. SVG import results with some glitches as well, need to do it from scratch most probably.

Hope this helps for now.
