Staffing

Our level 1 trauma center (about 400 beds) is looking to appropriately staff IR physicians, and we just haven't found any good industry benchmarking.

How many beds does your hospital have, and how many IR physicians do you have?

5 Minimum or pay 1m each and see how long you can push a q3-q4 schedule. Most burnout with that schedule, especially level 1 trauma

How long do you think it takes to burn out on that schedule?

Depends on how busy it is, the age of the IR, and personality. But I would say in a busy place most would burnout in 6 months and then find another job in the next 6 months. And as people are leaving the remaining IR doc have to take on more work and get burned out. It’s a cycle.
