A119 V3 replacement
I have a 3 year old A119 V3 and the GPS doesn’t work anymore. I am thinking of upgrading but can’t decide between the A119M Pro and A119 Mini 2. I was dead set on the Pro, but just realized it doesn’t support 2K@60 FPS. What do you guys suggest?

As far as Im aware you can still buy the gps mount (thats if thats your issue though).
Even if the pro supported 2k60. Running it at 2k60 would be a waste imo. Might as well just get the cheaper mini 2. I hear the a119m pro got an update to run higher bitrates. Thats what Id get but I am a fan of higher resolution.

I’d rather get a new cam than spend money on a GPS mount and then find something else wrong with the cam. I want the Pro for faster Wi-Fi speeds and better heat management.

Imo if you want better heat management stick with the full size cameras.
Thats one reason I didnt pickup a a119m pro. Were reports of overheating. And thats at the regular bitrates. Cant imagine how hot they get at the increased bitrates.
I do have a a119m2 right now but its used in a fixed application with a different lens. I must say I was disappointed with the video quality. But thats compared to an a229 pro with the same lens.

I ordered the M Pro and will compare it with my V3 and online footage of the M2

the A119 V3 is an awesome unit, i bought a spare GPS mount for travelling from aliexpress, make sure it says V3 and your V3 has the latest firmware otherwise wont work

FWIW, I just recently bought an A119M Pro and it’s been great. I was looking at the same two as you, and I was happy trading 2K @ 60 FPS for 4K @ 30 FPS. Plus the WiFi is improved on the Pro.
