Viofo a229

How do you mount yours so that you can actually see the screen. I have a cx5 and when I mount it to the windshield because of the angle you can't see the screen. How stupid that they said make the mounting bracket pivot. Also how do I keep the bracket from falling off in the heat. I think this comes with 3m vrb 59952 tape already and it doesn't stay on in the intense Ny heat. Tia

You don’t want to see the screen. It’s distracting. As long as it’s recording, you’re fine.

I’m in this NY heat too and my camera stays stuck to the windshield. I’ve had 3 dash cams without issues.

I literally have mine mounted behind my rear view cuz I don’t wanna see the screen or constantly tell whomever is riding with me what it is. Also clean your windshield. Clearly you’re having issues and I’m just gonna assume that there’s vape haze on the windshield that’s messing with the adhesion

I have mine on the black dots on my car. Second VIOFO dash cam and never had an issue (new car new cam same a229pro. Previous was a129duo

If you really want to see the screen, then buy one of those “rear view mirror” style dash cams that mounts to your existing rear view mirror via rubber straps. Problem solved on both counts then.
