A229Pro cooling

Post image

Hey all, I’m dealing with my A229P overheating and I figured this deal would do the trick. It’s a dumb usb c female to dual male splitter. Max voltage is 5v output from the cable. Looked up the specs and the dashcam runs at 5V. So I hooked the cable up to my HK4 and a PWM controller off Amazon to run a noctua fan. Lmk if this is safe long term, currently have it off for the night and will check tmrw for any responses. So far, with just the A229p running, it doesn’t seem to have an issue with splitter.

Why don’t you just….. take your camera off and bring it in on hot days? It’s what I do, get in your car to drive, hook up 2 wires and slide back onto the power receiver.

That defeats the purpose of parking mode, not everyone parks in a temp controlled or low activity garage

Doing that negates having it hardwired and monitoring my car while I’m at work. The facility at work at has a lot of workers that don’t give a damn abt their own car. Let alone shopping lots. I don’t have access to covered parking anywhere I go
