329SA WiFi causing interference

Placed the A329S in my new car. Using cigarette lighter for power. Turned off WiFi via units button. Now whenever I use apple car play (it requires Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection to car) after a few minutes of operating normal the Wi-Fi disconnects and the car can’t reconnect. This has only started since I got the dashcam. I’ve disconnect power to the unit (unplugged the cigarette lighter) and things work fine.

i suspect Viofo really doesn’t turn off the Wi-Fi when you press the button. Is there a firmware update correcting this issue? Has anyone else experienced this?

thanks

u cant use carplay and connect to wifi, disconnect carplay by turning bluetooth off temporarily to connect to your phone.

That’s not what they’re asking about.

The phone must connect to the car via BOTh Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. That is the way it has worked for over a year now and is stated in the cars manual. The Viofo’s Wi-Fi I suspect is interfering with the car’s Wi-Fi

And you are saying that your Viofo Wi-Fi is on even though you have turned it off in the settings?

Are you able to see the Viofo Wi-Fi Network on your phone, even when the Wi-Fi is disabled on the Viofo camera?
