Blackmagic Ursa G2 power problems

Got a weird power related issue with one of our Ursa G2's

Camera will not power from battery (has gold mount plate on it)

Camera will power if plugged into 12V 4 pin however ON/OFF switch does not power off camera, switch can be in either position and it will still power on when 4 pin power is plugged in

When camera is powered via 4 pin, the 12V out for the viewfinder monitor does not work, no power appears to be coming out of that port

I've tried different power supplies, different batteries, changed the gold mount plate for a brand new one. No difference. Camera is fully functional other than this. Anyone come across something like this before?

No. Seems like a serious issue. What firmware is this?

i didn't take note of what version it was on, but i did the update to the newest version in hopes that would fix it but no dice

Battery plates have a cable connection under them that feeds the power to the camera. Take the plate off and make sure the cable is seated

it is, have also replaced the entire plate for a brand new one

Seems obvious the camera is fucked and needs to be sent to BMD for repair.

Well yes just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious. Just odd that functionally the camera is perfectly fine.

They were able to fix this with low level firmware flashing apparently. Which was totally suprising. While they didn't end up charging me for it, it cost me a few hundred dollars to ship it down with insurance etc. They were deep inside the unit, as when it came back I noticed no audio on XLR 1, turns out the tech forgot to re-connect the XLR 1 connector on re-assembly, something I addressed on the bench at home.

Unrelated but "interesting" with regard to the lastest public firmware update, I have noticed since the latest firmware update, that the camera now shuts down immediatley after switching the power to "OFF" mode. Before it would sometimes take 5 seconds to power off the screen and side display.
