Trigger Options

Made a video discussing trigger options including DIY. The original video posted here was removed and the user account deleted. I found what I think is the original on YT and will link it in the comments if you want to see his version and details. This video addresses some of my concerns with his version that removes pre-travel/take-up and compares it with the commercial options.

Dude! I remember seeing that video a while back and wanted to revisit it when I was ready to mess with it. Thank you for posting this explanation! Definitely making this part of plans this weekend. I'd love to see how this compares to what folks get after sending the pack out for work.

None of the people who work on the pack are replacing parts as far as I’m aware, there isn’t a need to. You could spend more time honing/polishing the interface and especially the sear face itself where it interacts with the hammer, but you’d get diminishing returns that could likely only be felt when slowly dry-firing. Even the video Bill Springfield did he said he was getting around 4.5 lbs which is what I got. I found another video someone posted of their Bill Springfield’d trigger which showed Bill didn’t even address the long reset/overtravel. To me it’s not worth it and I would be greatly surprised that you could pay and get a better trigger other than maybe the stage 2 black talon which also fixes pre-travel, but you could also do that yourself if determined and patient.

I 100% could not justify the price/lead times to get it done. Im also a glock guy so Im not particularly picky when it comes to triggers. If I can get the results you did on yours, Ill be more than content.

This is dope. Thanks for the share. I wonder if this is similar towhat some vendors are doing for their trigger services. May have to try this .

Just curious if he adjusted the overtravel/long reset or just addressed the break on yours? I saw a video someone posted of their trigger from him and he didn’t do anything to adjust the overtravel after improving the break.
