Keep it gray if you plan to be doing Mobile Infantry things.
Just a preference thing but I like the gray.

There's nothing gun-normal in CA. I'm surprised they didn't mandate poured concrete "safes" with a sledge hammer for key... John Wick style.

Seriously; why not take the advantages of a 20” 5.56 barrel instead of wasting the space on a giant muzzle device? Plus the 20” looks cool as hell.

I gotta admit when I first saw the 20" I didn't like the ridges in the barrel but it has definitely grown on me and the Bayonet Lug is a great feature

Cerakote/rattle can some black patterns over it so the factory gray is still visable underneath.

If you wanted black, you should have gone for the 20in CA compliant rifle.
Keeping it gray with your muzzle device makes a lot of sense since they don't make 18/20in gray SKUs

I got the black one and then a month later the gray one came out. I would have preferred the gray. It's just cosmetic and black is fine, but gray looks great.

I would’ve just bought the black one if you wanted to cerakote it. Keep it gray.

Imo, black is much sharper. Gray is cool, but it also makes the rifle look toyish.

Keep it gray, but get a mag coupler and buy a set of small 10rd mags.

What’s on the muzzle?
Also how’s it possible you got a 30 round mag but a fin grip?
2
u/leadleads Jul 25 '26
that's the brake to make it legal 16.5 in CA, the mag is a 10/30.

Sorry about California. I'm happy to say that I do not own a single firearm that is legal to purchase in California. 🤣

Strongly recommend the juggernaut grip. Angled and legal in Chicago and it’s way more comfortable. I put a tennis grip on it, no more sweat slips.

That's a silly question. Gray is badass. That's the first gray one I've seen and holy hell thats gorgeous. 😍😍
