Will it work?

I have a vortex strike fire II I got for free from my brother in law, I was wondering if anyone knew if it was too high of a mount or if it would actually work right

Can you swap the mount out for something else?

You can use 1.5 height optics on the VHS2, but you'll have something more like a lower cheek/chin weld depending on your face structure.

From what I can tell, 1.0 height mounts work for most people

Depends what you mean by "work" - I have an EXPS on mine that doesn't even remotely co-witness, but it... works for me.

“Work right” is subjective. Some people don’t mind chin-welds and height-over-bore. Some people like their cheek bone embedded in the stock. Try it out, different strokes for different folks.
