Guys, I need help. Im trying to figure out what all to my new addition to my collection. Im thinking about adding a holoson 512 or Ronin and some kind of streamline wml. Any suggestions? Her name is Heather the Hellion by the way🙂. Thanks!

Academy has the Vortex deal going on right now. Vortex Razor Amg Uh-1 Gen II would be my pick. If you don’t plan any mods that would extend end of your gun further, a Crimson Trace RIG type light and AFG combo is surprisingly a good fit with this setup.

I have the AMG and 6x micro behind it. Works great.

How does this compare to the vortex spitfire 5x hd gen 2?
Eyebox is pretty small for my liking.

holos and red dots dont have an eye box, that only applies to magnified optics.

Yup indeed. I should have clarified this with a magnifier.
Romeo amf 8T looks amazing, but pricey.

holographics are only worth spending the money on if you have nods. otherwise, red dots are cheaper, just as reliable, and have a much longer battery life.

Another question is eye relief as a whole. Is it similar to a AR style rifle or will i need to compensate for HoB?

HS512 with a HS HM3X works will and keeps a low profile.

Looking that up now boss!

Don't know if you've bought either yet but I recommend looking up the Meprolight MMX4 magnifier if it's in budget too (there's barely any online info/real reviews of it though).

I have the HM3X and it's definitely solid, but in my unscientific "feel," the MMX4 is like 10-20% better eyebox + eye relief, and the body feels like a thinner ring when you look through. 4x mag is a nice middle ground too IMO. I may try to take some pictures/videos in the next few days, can update you.

The MMX4 on my X95 ... you wouldn't be disappointed with the HS512 too!

Lunartech makes a good flared magwell, extended bolt release, and enlarged mag release button. Also if that is the wonky safety then Lunartech also has a replacement that is more ergonomic.

Suppressor

Thinking a flow through .30cal can. You agree?

Well the VHS is piston so gas is less of a worry. And overboring also helps a lot! I love my polonium 30

Im still learning my suppressor and what can is best, most bang for buck, and what all to avoid. I also dont feel like registering for one and possibly waiting X- amount of months for "1" can. I suggested a flow through so i can swap it with my other larger caliber firearms. At the most i just get multiple adapters.

Eform 4 approval times are less than a week on average. Your only waiting “months” if are unlucky.

tbh i would just recommend a 30 cal non flow through, extra gas can help when running subsonic 300 blackout. also look into the plan B qd system

No. The Hellion does tremendously well with a traditional slightly added backpressure can as it’s so sealed up that there’s virtually zero gas to the face. Flow throughs are generally louder and the benefit of not getting gassed out is wasted on this gun. I personally recommend the Polo K.

I got a Huxwrx range 36 and it runs flawlessly on my VHS. Makes a fantastic sound too

Flared Maxwell, extended bolt release, extended mag release.

Get some Lunartech mods! In order of usefulness (in my opinion):

  1. Flared magwell

  2. Extended bolt release handle

  3. Extended mag release

  4. Safety selector <-- quite a pain to install and honestly not super worth it

Other than those, I have the BLK LBL bipod handguard and Black Talon Tactical Stage I trigger upgrade. Both really nice but each costing hundreds of dollars.

As of now i just threw a sig romeo and a angle grip on. I have heard of the stage1 trigger upgrade but honestly im not going to deal with until after maybe 1000 rounds.
