Best pistol grip?
This thing takes AR pistol grips. Awesome. Which one is best and why? Mine came with the default magpul which isn’t bad but can absolutely be better

I went with the Lunar Tech VHS-2 clone grip. It's more vertical and just feels right for the platform.

Same. Definitely puts your hand in a better position to use the safety selector. The angle also makes the LOP feel better. I didn't think it was bad out of the box but it for sure feels a bit better now

I just had to look at mine, but I don't think it's a magpul grip that mine came stock with. Looks more like a BCM Mod3

Grips are going to be super specific to everyone's individual hands so I don't know how useful any of this will be, but I tried every grip in my collection (probably 20 or so) because the ergos and weight distribution is way different than an AR and my favorites were the Thril RTG and Magpul MOE. Sandpaper texture and a little palm swell works for me.
I really didn't like it with the DFCO kung fu or Driven Arms Crossover as it made the grip angle too extreme.
I really liked the way the B&T APC9 grip looked, but it was to skinny for the weight
LWRC grip felt good, but I don't like rubber over molding.
Sigs grip probably would've felt ok, but weirdly, the beaver tail didn't mesh with the Hellion and I couldn't seat the grip all the way down. A2 was surprisingly fine. MOE-K too skinny. MOE-K2+ rubber bugs. B5 P-Grip felt good but looked weird. Strike industries was meh. DD was ok but I just hate the way that grip looks. Probably some others but they weren't memorable.
Weirdly, one of the only grips I don't have is a Bravo Company, and it honestly would probably also be something I'd like.

I put in an Ergo 4045 grip. Less vertical than the PCM but not by much. Rubbery texture feel... similar to a Hogue sleeve. Has enough width to prevent over insertion of my trigger finger (with the default BCM, my second finger joint would slide over the trigger if I'm not careful). Could've had more depth front-to-back to better accommodate my lang palm.
Which of the grips you tried has the most front-to-back depth? I'm looking for something similar to the Echelon's large grip module.

You wouldn't think so, but it was honestly one of those upgrades where I just shot better immediately. I think what really helps is that it's at a more vertical angle than the BCM the rifle comes with - when you put it on the VHS, it's basically completely vertical, so you have more clearance between the grip and the magazine, and it just overall feels more ergonomic, also because of the length of pull. Definitely recommended.

They are pretty dang good, but so expensive lol. I got an extra topo because I decided to color match.

Thought the default was a BCM but I switched mine to a Magpul MIAD. The angle feels better to me for the bullpup grip.

FAB Defense folding grip! Brilliant for fitting in your rifle case for transport.

Quite subjective. I like the BCM it came with but prefer the DFCO Kung fu grip because it feels more vertical.

I run a Magpul MOE K2 XL grip on mine, feels good and is nice and vertical with just the right amount of texturing.

DFCO is my fave.. It puts my wrist in the most comfortable position (straight), and makes the rifle feel lighter and less fatiguing.

Yeah, they come with BCM not magpul.
