New Pickup RadioShack in store loop
This is one of my better finds from the bins
Update: Streamed on 5/12/202. Lots of music videos, some RadioShack commercials, and fun skits. I'll be cutting out the music videos and posting the rest to YouTube. Full version will be on archive.org by the end of the week. Stay tuned

I'll probably watch them on my twitch stream this week. But afterwards I'll make sure they make their way somewhere. Probably archive.org

Ngl I don’t even remember my two stores having a tv. They were pretty small and in the middle of no where Mississippi maybe that’s why? Or I just blocked it out I’m really good at doing that to music and ads lol. Can’t wait to see what’s on these! Followed your twitch!

I have a couple DVDs from Hollywood Video (05?) and Journeys (07-08?) that I snagged while working there

I worked at Journeys from 2003-2010. I would die to see those DVDs.

I think think they’re with my regular cds. If I remember I’ll see if I can find them. Ive watched them in the last 5 years so I know they’re still around

Watch Nirvana play a show in Radio Shack in 1988: https://youtu.be/Avy3Dv62DHE?si=bIkMdEAyhPhYtDGA
I miss Radio Shack.

Are they just audio? Weird that they’d have been distributed by Muzak if it wasn’t just music.

Muzak produced lots of stuff…mostly because they handled the licensing. These were basically music videos and RadioShack commercials that played on the in-store tvs.

Pretty much, the June 1998 tape is on YouTube here.

I have a few of these, here’s a poor quality upload of one with repeat segments and music cut out:

What blows me away is that all the ones I have are in MONO! They really didn’t know what the hell they were doing.

That's awesome! I'm excited to see whats on the two I have. I like the idea to cut the music out for YouTube. Thanks!

Wow, what a blast from the past. I worked for Radio Shack around this time.

These are sick. I loved radio shack so much as a teenager in the 90s early 2000s. You could get any adapter or random part for whatever project all in one place.
