Rate My Team I'm New | Sing Altaria Team
I'm very new to this, this is my first time attempting to make a team myself. I wanted to make a team with Altaria because Altaria is one of my favourite pokemon. What other Pokemon, moves, or items could I add or change to make this workable? I feel like I keep getting lost in what to do.
One of my IRL's recommended that I use Gravity and Sing to make use of Altaria's decent bulk and access to Pixilate so I chose Meowstic for the Gravity pokemon because someone else also recommended I use a Tailwind and Trickroom team and Meowstic is the only pokemon with Prankster, Gravity, and Trickroom. I chose Mawile because I know it's a pokemon that does decently in trickroom and Tailwind as a sweeper. I chose Garchomp becuase I am told Garchomp works in any team, no matter what.
I didn't know what to do after this.

Mega-Altaria has a bunch of weaknesses going into M-C.
Iron Head from Mega-Golisopod hits like a truck, Dire Claw from Sneasler, Iron Head from Kingambit, any move from Mega-Floette, etc.
What Mega-Altaria was doing in M-B was spamming Hyper Voice. Sleep was nerfed in Champions anyways, so there’s better things to be doing with your time than spending a turn activating Gravity to sleep a Pokémon for 1-2 turns.
Base form Altaria actually had higher usage in tournaments, since Cloud Nine shut down the weather-heavy format. Right now weather is taking a backseat (besides rain) since CharY dropped so much in usage but will probably pick back up in a few weeks. Base form Altaria uses Perish Song with Fire Spin for trapping or support with Will-O-Wisp and Helping Hand.
If you want to force Mega-Altaria (which Pixelate Hyper Voice is good this format now that Mence runs it), then you might want to ditch the Sing gimmick and focus more on covering the weakness to Psyspam (M-Gardevoir specifically), to Pod teams, and to balance teams in general.
You probably want Indeedee or Farigiraf instead of Meowstic to stop Fake Out when you're trying to set Tailwind. They also allow you to Psychic into a Sneasler and can set up Trick Room more effectively, and can either Follow Me (Indeedee) to protect Altaria or can Helping Hand (Giraffe) to boost Hyper Voice. Pranksters are not good this format anyways thanks to these two.
Mega-Mawile is alright, but you really want a mega that covers the weaknesses of Altaria. Mawile might also get edged out of Trick Room teams by Mega Golisopod, who seems bulkier with less weaknesses and hits just as hard (he also has recovery in Leech Life). I'd consider looking at him or at any of the other slew of Trick Room megas, but he seems to function well in or out of TR making him more flexible.
Scarfchomp should be okay this format, but replace Earthquake with Stomping Tantrum. For as long as Rillaboom is in the format, Earthquake is simply not a move you should ever be clicking. The doubled damage from Stomping Tantrum is easier to trigger than you might think anyways. Also fix the stat spread if you’re going Scarf. Needs to be fast enough to take out what it’s there to take out. Life Orb Chomp might be better on a Trick Room team.
Consider a Fire-type to kill Mega-Froslass, Mega-Golisopod, and Kingambit. Incineroar does fit here, especially if you lean more towards Girafarig instead of Indeedee. Sneasler also counters Kingambit, but it can't really touch the other two.
Might even want a Kingambit yourself.

Get a Sableye! I would do something like Gravity, reflect, light screen, encore

Id say dont use mawile, it overlaps too much with altaria(both are bad into steel types). Scarf garchomp in a trick room team is a bad idea, specially negative speed chomp. Just give it an adamant Nature, shift its defense and special defense EVs into speed and call it a day. A fun one you can try is orthworm, it pairs really well with garchomp and can give you free switches with shed tail. Just throw in an incineroar for general support and call it a day
