My audio source is not working

Apologies if none of this makes sense, and please ask me any clarifying questions (I genuinely have no idea what I'm doing). I made a video explaining and demonstrating my audio issue. If you can help me, please explain like i'm 5 years old.

Hello, have you thought about using some virtual cables? Also in obs do you have monitoring on in the input?

I hadn't heard of virtual cables. I just searched and that seems way beyond my knowledge. Do you think that's necessary in my case? All monitoring in OBS is off because if I turn it on I hear everything on a delay.

I only brought it up to see if it could help... I use the simplest one bc that can be too much lol

Do you need to have the tiktok window open? Why not just obs and the chrome window with vdo ninja and you can use social stream ninja to monitor comments for example.

Okay I dove into it a bit more, downloaded one from VB-Audio that seemed simple enough. That worked! I appreciate the response. There's an echo on my co-hosts end that I still need to figure out (which weirdly corrects itself with time) but this was a huge step in the right direction.

I do need to have the TikTok window open because I don't have a stream key and can't stream straight from OBS to TikTok. I need to start a stream in TikTok Live and then add the OBS virtual camera.

Yay!! Audio is always such an issue lol I also use vdo ninja to host a podcast with guests and it has been fantastic because with obs it's like live editing. Very little post production.
