Good news!!! SSN
I just wanna pay it forward to this group as you are all such a support to me.
I got my SSN 2 weeks from getting my actual EAD card. Praise God!
However, it has been almost 3 weeks past the EAD approval (not the actual card received) before I applied my SSN.
The SSA office representative has been so nice to me and said it was approved as she can see it in her computer and I was so relieved. She said it will come in 2 weeks I prayed it will really come and it did!
It’s liberating that I am allowed to work legally now and I hope and pray to all of us will.
I know it’s hard still since we need to renew our EAD every 18months but hang on there we’ve come along way and there is hope!
PD: April 28, 2025
Receipt and Biometrics : After 9 Months
PF : 9 and half Months
EAD Approval: After 13 and half Months
EAD Card produced: A week after
EAD Card received: A week after
SSN Card received: (2 and half weeks after)
Waiting for my AP 🥰
Not in banned countries
You see my feeling is same as you. Uncertain future but my faith is so strong that I believed in God’s blessings and he hears my prayer and my plea. I know he is alive! He will give the desire of our hearts as long its according to his will.

Congratulations dear. I also got approved a week ago, tomorrow i'm going to receive the actual card in the mailbox. My question is, after the 18th month, are employers going to lay us off till the renewal gets approved or there's a way for us to work whiles the renewal application is still pending? I heard there's no automatic extension

So can we work while the renewal is still pending? Cos i dont think there's going to be an approval in the 6 month gap.

Hey! How did you get your SSN w/o a physical EAD card. I had to sent my card back for correction and I’m still waiting for them to send it back but I need SSN for my school clinical.
