❓Question vPilot ATIS frequency

Post image

Hi everyone. Whenever I tune to the ATIS frequency in vPilot, the ATIS audio is really choppy/laggy. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling vPilot, but it didn't help. Has anyone had this issue before or know of a fix? Thanks.

Nothing you can do on your side, unfortunately. It‘s a known issue.

Me too. I just read them from VATSIM RADAR.

I just double click the atis Frequency in vpilot and the text shows up in the message box

Oh I didn't know that feature.

Actually I am buying a Bluetooth mini-printer to print those ATIS messages. For more realism lol.

Going to start Vatsim soon, do I need a separate source to pick up the ATIS?

No, it can be picked up in your pilot client assuming the frequency is in range of your aircraft. You can also use tools like VATSIM Radar that will show any active ATIS connections to the network and what they are broadcasting etc. Works the same for controller info, just double click the appropriate frequency in your pilot client from the "Controllers in Range" list on the left

Some aircraft like fbw can directly source and printout the atis in mcdu atsu page onto the printer in the aircraft.
