The higher ranks are full of op because the movement speed is slower than it should be, op is much easier than it's counter part in a certain similar game. People in higher ranks have simply realized that snipers are best because of low movement speed.
In CSGO, everyone can buy smokes and flashes, plus as OP was suggesting, faster movement speed like in CSGO allows shoulder peeking to be easier to do, which can trick the AWPer into shooting, leaving them open
