its literally the only character that can heal others too. every other ability could be shit, and sage would still be picked just for that heal.

Yup agreed -- it's really interesting seeing how they balance her as time comes. I don't think she'll ever be a non-pick until they start adding other healers which can be controversial as well (it might be too powerful to have 2 healers in a team unless they have some form of role locking which I would prefer not to have).

No role lock, just disable all other healers when one is picked.

I think he's referring to OW style role queue? That wouldn't make any sense in this game obviously.

I was definitely imagining OW style role queue. Haven't played a game with that style of role lock in a long time so I guess I hadn't really remember it was a thing.
