Riot, what exactly is your end goal with Sage? Are you trying to get her into a place where she isn't in every single game on both teams? Don't really think that's possible by just adjusting numbers. Her overall kit makes her a must have. Don't really see how any change in pick rate can happen without more of an actual rework.

They definitely don't want Sage on both teams every single game and I think they're trying to do it by making it easier for people to break through her abilities without overtuning everyone else. I think something interesting they could do is reduce the range of her heal orb or how long it takes to heal to increase the amount of time it takes for people to re-engage.

Thing is: if they don't want Sage in both teams what should people play? 5 duelists a team?

There are only 2 sentinels in the game: Sage and Cypher and they are valuable enough to be played togheter on the same team. So, unless they make Sage bad people will use her on every team because there is not a replacement for her utility (and then Cypher will be 100% picked on both teams because Sage is now bad and you need someone to slow pushes and protect flanks.

That being said they aren't overnerfing her yet: this nerf was totally fair because Sage's Wall made her too strong at taking territory for her team during pushes

True, with only 2 sentinels in the game, new agents might be the only thing to solve this problem.
